Crisis response
“Pemcoa Foundation is committed to transforming crisis response through gender equity, ensuring that women and girls lead the recovery process while safeguarding dignity, enhancing resilience, and fostering social cohesion in every emergency response.”
Pemcoa Foundation is dedicated to tackling the gender and power imbalances that often leave women and girls more vulnerable during crises. We collaborate with women’s organizations to ensure that those most impacted are leading the charge in recovery and rebuilding efforts. By centering our crisis response strategies around gender equity, we strive to create fairer and more effective outcomes. Our focus includes safeguarding dignity, enhancing resilience, and promoting social cohesion throughout all stages of an emergency. Pemcoa’s key areas of intervention encompass shelter, water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), food security, and sexual and reproductive health. In partnership with local organizations, we deliver gender-focused humanitarian aid, with a commitment to reaching and supporting millions of people by 2030. Our programs are designed to be gender-responsive, inclusive, conflict-sensitive, and locally driven.
At Pemcoa Foundation, we believe that every child deserves access to a quality, safe, and inclusive education that empowers them for life. Our efforts focus on enabling families, communities, and schools to provide nurturing environments with effective teaching methods. We are committed to ensuring that all children, especially the most vulnerable, have the opportunity to thrive through education.
